As one of the laboratories with longest history in Chemical and Biological Engineering Department of Korea University, Bioprocess Engineering Laboratory (BPEL) has been established since 1997 by Prof. Seung Wook Kim.
  The major topics of our laboratory have been developed from traditional bioenergy conversion to all aspects of bioprocess engineering, which include metabolic engineering, bioenergy and chemical production, enzymatic fuel cell and development of nano-sensor. The core subjects of BPEL have been related with a variety of technology fields including Biotechnology (BT), Information Technology (IT) and Nanotechnology (NT).
